In this series of paintings, I’m focusing on abstractions of flowers, landscapes and trees. I draw images from nature and photographs to create a realistic image integrated with abstracted forms. I build up transparent layers of paint to create a colorful abstraction of texture and movement. The camouflage effect is made by using a traditional push/pull technique of color intensity and value.  I want to create an emotional impact on the viewer and to convey the universal beauty I see in natural forms.

I earned an M.F.A in Painting from UCLA, where I was lucky to study under a faculty of famous artists. I moved to Atlanta, where I taught courses in art and design at The Art Institute of Atlanta for twenty years.
